Delta Lake State Park is located on a peninsula extending into Delta Reservoir, in the Town of Western in Oneida County, 6 miles northeast of Rome, and offers a variety of other recreational activities. Because of its location to the reservoir and its unique landform, there is a great amount of water frontage, and many of the activities available are water related. These activities include swimming, fishing, and boating with a boat launch facility available in the park during the summer months and ice fishing in the winter. Other activities include camping and picnicking, with a food concession open during the summer. You’ll find the terrain is wooded and generally flat. Campers can enjoy 101 tent, trailer or RV camping sites and there is a sandy beach with swimming in the summer.

For winter visitors there are approximately 3 miles of marked and groomed cross-country ski trails, which are also used for hiking during the summer months. There is no fee charged to use these trails. The trails are for the novice to intermediate skier. The trail system is a series of loops that allow the skier or hiker to follow a route of their preferred distance.
